The Edge of Allegoria

The Edge of Allegoria is a nostalgic adventure for the 90’s kids who grew up playing handheld, turn-based RPG's, who aren't exactly kids anymore.

Get ready to take on creatures of all shapes and sizes, conquer dragons, and save the people of Allegoria from certain doom. OR you can just wander around killing things and selling their body parts for money. That's up to you. Take on the role of the hero, cursed with a serious lack of motivation and zero interest in making a name for themselves, as you venture forth from your quiet hometown into a world of, well, the rest of the world, with only the promise of not fishing in an empty pond anymore to guide you.

Explore the World!
Strap on those hiking boots because there are so many places to explore! Travel far and wide, uncovering the secrets and adventures that Allegoria has in store. Visit a wide variety of locales from treacherous mountains and perilous caves, to tropical jungles and barren wastelands! Just be careful; as soon as you leave the safety of a town, there's always something ready to jump out at you.

Battle Enemies!
There are more than 100 unique enemies to face on your adventures through Allegoria, from lowly rats to ferocious dragons! There are plenty of beasts and beyond to encounter, inspired by monsters and myths from around the world (and maybe a trip to the zoo). Each enemy drops at least one unique item that can be sold in shops for the gold you'll use to purchase weapons and equipment to aid you on your journey.

Collect Weapons and Equipment!
Want to level up? Sure, you can use that old fishing rod, but you won't get far. Equip weapons and use them in battle to increase your mastery and permanently increase your stats! Weapons are also the only way to learn new attacks and magic spells, and with more than 69 moves to learn, you'll want to try them all to find the right move set for you!

Meet Colourful Characters!
There's no shortage of personality in Allegoria, and everyone seems to have something to say. They may be a little rough around the edges, but the people of Allegoria are always willing to guide you on your journey, and they might even have a quest or two for you to earn gold and other useful items!

Contemplate Your Life Choices
Challenge your perspective on life, the universe, and everything! If you kill a monster, is it murder or self-defence? Are you as evil as the oppressor if you don't stand against them? Is all of this even worth it? What does it all mean?! There must be some kind of deeper meaning in here somewhere...
