Each location has events for both cops and racers:
Undercover Racing - Classic street racing against 2-3 opponents, make sure the cops don't stop you from winning. (Racer cars only) (Offensive power-ups not allowed)
Drag Racing - Race a one lap track against one opponent, with manual gears forced on despite which gearbox you choose. (Racer cars only) (Offensive power-ups not allowed)
Paint the City - Drive opposite an opponent from an enemy team in a mad dash to paint each part of the city your team's colours. (Police or Race cars) (Offensive power-ups allowed)
Squad Takedown. - Take down a group of criminals before the time runs out, this could either be the racing team who owns the city, or a group of mobsters up to no good. (Police cars only) (Offensive power-ups allowed)
Offensive Racing - Beat the street racers to the finish line in a sprint race, offensive power ups are allowed so you can take them down to stop them escaping. (Police cars only) (Offensive power-ups allowed)
Time Trial - Finish the lap before the time runs out. Be careful - local mobsters may try to stop you before you can reach the finish. (Police or Race cars) (No power-ups allowed)
Boss Takedown - Take down the boss of the city, leading the city's team. Lower level bosses might be on their own, but late game bosses will have a whole city of mobsters and corrupt cops protecting them, and it's a battle to survive. (Police or Race cars) (Offensive power-ups allowed)

Key Gameplay Features
Power-ups:
There are 2 kinds of power-ups, offensive and environment. Environment power-ups are active in most events to help you build speed or protect your car from damage, but offensive power-ups are only active during certain events, and are selected with Perks.

Environment Power-Ups:
Nitro Tank Pickup (Blue Nitro Tank) - Tops up your boost tank by 25%.
Charge (Orange Arrows) - Increases power and acceleration by 50% for 10 seconds.
Shield (Highlighter Green Shield) - Makes car invincible for 10 seconds.
Repair (Green Spanner) - Repairs all car damage.
Offensive Power-Ups:
Bolt (Purple Downward Arrows) - Collect 4 purple bolts to shoot forwards or backwards and damage enemies.
Spikes (Red Spike strip) - Collect a spike strip to drop behind the car, instantly immobilising common enemies and dealing high damage to bosses.
Perks:
As shown earlier, perks allow you to access offensive power-ups or improve environment power-ups.
Attacker - Access Bolts.
Enforcer - Access Spike strips.
Runner - Makes boost duration 2x longer.
Damage:
When taking hits, your car will take damage. Damage is shown on your boost gauge and makes your boost tank smaller the more damaged your car is. If your damage reaches 100%, the car will be totalled and a game over screen will show, forcing you to restart or quit the event.
