Worldview Setting
A few decades later, with the development of science and technology, mankind has solved a series of survival problems such as poverty and famine, energy shortage, etc. Scientists have also discovered a kind of induced factor, which is the source of the evolution of living organisms. Soon the induced factor began to be applied to the transformation of human beings themselves. Physical and mental enhancement became a reality, and everything seemed to be getting better.
Beneath the surface, a secret society began to use the induced factor to try to make humans evolve into a higher class of species. As the experiment progresses, more and more humans develop uncontrollable mutations, falling into madness and degenerating into mindless monsters, and the human world finally reaches the era of the Great Collapse.
After the Great Collapse, the Society began to gather the remaining human beings in the name of the Church, and formed a large-scale city in the position of the Saviour. Their experiments never stopped, and in the ruins they found the result of their dream experiment, a human who was completely fused with the inducer.
Using the new inducer produced by the subject, the Church started a new round of experiments. Cities gradually degenerated into testing grounds for mutations. During one of the experiments, they accidentally made contact with otherworldly high-dimensional beings, and then worshipped them as gods.
Oppression and resistance always go hand in hand, and a small number of people who knew the truth joined forces with those who disagreed with the leader of the Church to form a small coalition of resistance against the Church, leading the survivors to fight against the Church.
In the constant battle, the huge energy generated by the fission generator splits the complete world into several pieces, and some of these split worlds continue to resist, while others choose to fall or remain silent.
