Woodsy Whatnots is a solo developed indie game inspired by turn-based 2.5D RPG classics!Where WOOD we be without a good story?!
The ‘Wilderguild’ is the world’s premiere research team, whom studies the existence of mythical woodland creatures or happenings from all across the world. When a distress signal is received from a distant kingdom on an isolated continent, your tech savvy guilder crew sets out on a mission to establish contact, only to be entangled in a plot of monstrous beasts overrunning the land and a gallery of powerful adversaries. ‘The Court’, as it’s rumored, are sinister forces comprised of false wizards, fallen heroes, and dark entities on a power grab laying claim over these whereabouts.
Meet colourful companions in your travels, soon-to-be heroes with something to prove. Discover diverse towns for folks of all species, like the Merrish Isles, home to aquatic fish-lizard Princesses, or the enchanting Napwood Forest, or how about the ghoulish Fogpot Hollow (just to name a few). Save the day, grow stronger, and become an unlikely egghead turned hero.SPRUCED up turn-based gameplay!
Encounter foes in classic turn-based combat, with all of the best modern RPG twists. Counter, strike first, or use action-commands to build up bigger damage and keep things interesting.
Experiment with ‘Patches’, a type of collectable cloth which powers up, adds, or alters your character's set of moves. All new to Woodsy Whatnots, equip partners with patches of their very own to create unique synergies and award highly customizable offensive and defensive capability!
Empower your party with Special Moves that massively sway odds in your favor, each partner has one, and the Wilderguilder (that’s you) special-izes in keeping everyone standing to do so!
Endeavor into comfortable platforming sections for additional rewards and secret locations.
Engage with extra bosses that await as optional additional challenges…
