The world’s mightiest heroes are gone. Now, it’s time for their sidekicks to step up and save the day.

Unsupervised is a 700,000-word interactive superhero novel by Lucas Zaper and Morton Newberry, where your choices control the story. It’s entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination. Which is not as cool as an actual superpower, but you get the idea.

Supervillains are running amok, an intergovernmental agency is cracking down on metahumans, and a deadly new drug plagues the streets–on top of all the personal stuff you have to deal with, like a pesky reporter trying to uncover your secret identity and a childhood friend in dire need of help.

It’s not easy being a superpowered teenager, but at least you are not alone. Other sidekicks roam the world, seeking purpose and solace, and it is up to you to find and lead them.

Will you become known as the next generation of superheroes, the most dangerous supervillains of all time, or something in between?

Play as male, female, or non-binary.
Transcend human physique, master the different elements, or control time itself.
Steer public opinion and become known as a paragon of justice, a reckless villain, or an unpredictable vigilante–regardless of what you actually are.
Recall your mentor’s lessons and your relationship with them. Do you admire them for what they taught you or resent them for robbing you of a normal childhood?
Bring supervillains to justice, help them escape, or murder them. Not to mention becoming one yourself.
It’s been a while since you have seen some of your former colleagues. Will you confess to an old crush or fall in love with the person they have become?
Hang out with your friends in your secret base, customize and upgrade your uniform, and try to get rid of those blood stains.
All that, and a lot more, cheaper than a comic book issue!
