About the GameYou are the preyUnknown Tapes is a horror video game that employs the found footage technique to narrate a story focused on survive in a modern setting overrun by dinosaurs. It aims for realism and draws inspiration from Dino Crisis and Outlast.If you like the project, consider supporting it on Kickstarter!
You are being hunted by dinosaurs and will have to use every means at your disposal to survive. You will need to hide, not make too much noise, and sometimes to move forward in the story, you will need to use your wits.
There will be buildings destructible by the larger dinosaurs, so you can't count on finding protection inside.
Occasionally, you will be able to find weapons and ammo. However, these will be scarce and not as effective as one might expect.
A story will unfold, expected to be playable in 5-7 hours from start to finish. We plan to introduce a few characters, each unique and not necessarily friendly.
The game will primarily be set at night, though we may include scenes in various daytime situations. While mainly set outdoors, indoor settings will also feature, some of which may be claustrophobic, to enhance the survival experience.
The game will focus on the player's relationship with dinosaurs, aiming to recreate realistic situations where a frightened person encounters them.
Besides classic cinema dinosaurs, we plan to include lesser-known species, incorporating those most requested by the community and from the feedback we receive.
