TIBO: Immortal Battle for Ohio

TIBO: The Immortal Battle for Ohio is a humorous location-based game about teams of players collecting creatures and joining teams to control areas on the map. Find dozens of silly creatures across the game, and use them in 3 game modes. Control lets you claim places on the map for your team, Compete allows your team to decide where to scout their turf, and Cover mode is the chill, single-player version of Compete.

In Collect mode, you'll wander around and pick up memory fragments of creatures to add them to your collection and strengthen them for the other modes. You can choose to play in active challenge mini-games when you collect one in order to catch a stronger version of the creature as well.

Control mode allows you to claim places on the map for your team. Bigger areas are worth more points, but you can only claim as many areas as you have creatures. Places also have their point split by how many people from each team have claimed a spot in the control pyramid. Attacking a place where you don't have a creature will automatically remove the strongest entry and send all the creatures home, or the weakest so you can put one in its place if you can't flip the whole area.

Cover is a single-player mode where you can place the creature fragments you've collected anywhere on the map to scout an area. More fragments give you a stronger creature that cover more of the map, and each creature has its own unique color. Cover the entire state, or make fun little drawing for yourself.

Compete is a team-based PVP Cover mode. Everyone on the same team can contribute fragments to the same creature to make it super powerful, or take down opposing team's points to increase your team's lead on the scoreboards.

The game takes place in Ohio, and is played by walking around in real life, but you DO NOT need to be in Ohio to play! You can pick anywhere in the state to use as a proxy location, and you can change it whenever you want. When you move in real life, you'll move the same direction in-game.

TIBO is strongly focused on player privacy and security. Only the minimum info required for gameplay is stored or processed, and it's never sold or shared with anyone else. TIBO contains no ads and no IAP.

TIBO uses a system for identifying locations called PlusCodes. It's easier to read and faster to tell people about than lat/lon coordinates, and creates a nice scalable grid.

This is an Early Access work of software by a single person. Bugs may exist, and things may be confusing. Future development plans will add additional content and bugfixes over time.
