The Final Matrix (CPC/Spectrum)
Originally released in 1987 for the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum home computers, this unique top-down shooter from prolific British developers Gremlin Graphics saw players take on the role of Nimrod, a plucky little Biopton, who is sent on a dangerous mission to rescue other Bioptons who have been imprisoned by the hostile Cratons and imprisoned on the sinister network of 'Matrix' prison planets.
