SkyVerse
SkyVerse is a sandbox game set in a procedural, open world that combines stylized graphics with steampunk setting. The player takes on the role of an airship captain and explores the world of floating islands in single-player or multiplayer mode while being able to edit every part of any island by creating their structures, such as engines, balloons, furniture, decorations, and more. SkyVerse offers complete freedom and non-linear gameplay, allowing players to create their play style.
The gameplay prioritizes sandbox-style freedom and RPG-style progression. Thanks to a fully procedural world that contains clear rules of generation, players can shape their play style while constantly discovering different ways of interacting with the world.
The game world consists of flying islands divided by difficulty levels and types, which are sources of raw materials, blocks, and items required for progress. Players can freely set course to dock their ship and explore the islands, which feature unique environments and enemies, such as undead skeletons and mummies, arcane stone golems, desert spiders guarding Pharaoh's treasures, and much more.
The ship in SkyVerse serves as a mobile base that allows players to construct various structures and mechanisms. The ship's size is based on the number of foundation blocks used in its construction. To maneuver the ship effectively, players must make use of its steam-powered engines, balloons, and steering wheel. Balloons enable players to control the ship's altitude, with more balloons allowing for higher ascension. Engines provide the ship with the necessary power to move in a specific direction but require fuel from boilers. Finally, the ship's steering wheel is circular for controlling its movement.
