Quasis: The Last Eclipse
Enter QuasisBy the year 2070 the advancements in AI and space travel have ushered a new golden age, But it wasn't meant to last. It was common to say that the planet was alive, but no one took it literally. The first contact between Gaia and humanity culminated in nuclear obliteration.
The catastrophe split the remnants of mankind into two. Some found shelter in underground data centers of major AIs. The rest would surely succumb to the elements if it wasn't for Gaia. She changed those not yet too far gone, helped them adapt to this new, hostile world.
What followed were century-long wars between the two races, which ended in an uneasy peace, poisoned air and scorched skies.
You are the last surviving member of Phoenix, a group that once tried to put an end to bloodbath and restore the world. After a century-long cryosleep, you wake up in a not-so-welcoming environment of thieves and cutthroats from a local grey zone - a small town without rules.
CorporationsWhen dust settled, AIs rose as the world's new dominant power.
After many trials and errors, the came to the conclusion, that people are easiest to control, when they think they are free.
They built techno-polices - huge domed cities with breathable air and drinkable water.
But whether you hold them as the last bastions of civilization or guarded prisons mostly depends on if you were lucky enough to be born in the downtown.
ARThe AR implant was invented to induce complacency among citizens. It hides the sorry state of the city, and even brings back the sunny weather for it's users. Disabling the AR is strictly prohibited, not that most would choose to do it anyway. But a skilled hacker like you might find a way around the veil.
MatrixBy far the greatest invention of mechanical minds is the Matrix. It's a neural interface to a city-spanning network, which gives people access to a cyber-space of sorts. All the while their brains are being exploited for computing power by the AIs.
The place is perfect for corporations, to conduct their shady business, and hackers who risk their lives for loot and glory.
Grey ZonesThe grey zones are small human settlements dotted around the globe. Outside the influence of the corporations and barely hospitable enough to survive, these patches of human civilization have only one set of rules - the ones dictated by the local gangs.
Children of GaiaThe pitiful remnants of former civilizations aren't the only life that survives in this world. In dark forests, high peaks and deadly deserts lurk those who call themselves the "Children of Gaia". They are a brand new branch of human evolution, who live in symbiosis with Gaia herself.
The world's fractions are locked in a delicate, yet deadly balance. Will you manage to tip the scales?

Branching Story Your decisions will be reflected throughout the game — NPCs may treat you based on your actions, new dialogue options may appear and the questlines may shift toward different outcomes. The fate of the world is in your hands, whether you decide to re-build Phoenix and bring down the corporate elites, aid Gaia's Children and become one with nature or just get lost exploring the corners of the vast and expansive world of Quasis.
Strange new WorldNo part of the world went untouched by the catastrophe. Some never recovered, the others changed beyond recognition. From radioactive wastelands and overgrown ruins to a village lost in fog or a sentient forest... you'll get to visit them all.
But beware! When you look deep into the a mutated forest, there might be something looking back at you.
Equipment and AugmentsNo matter the gun you have, the bullet is the thing that deals the actual damage. That is the principle our equipment system is built around. 12 calibers and 13 types of ammunition ranging from armor-piercing to EMP smart-round, mix and match to your hearts content. Now extrapolate that attention to detail to shields, grenades, abilities and augmentations and what you get are incredibly deep and varied progression and equipment systems.
Tactical CombatDuring real-world combat, you will have to rely on tactical planning and careful positioning, analyze your enemies' weaknesses and make precise orders to your party members. Your weapons, ammunition and implants can make the difference between getting shiny loot and getting your party killed.
Augmented RealityThe AR implant, which is mandatory in all technopolices provides a decent tradeoff for most.
After all, few would choose a real apocalypse over a fake utopia.
But those brave enough to look beyond the smoke and mirrors, will find themselves in a city completely different to the one they used know. Secret passages, people deemed "undesirable" and shady business hidden in plain sight. Those are just some of the things the corporations try to keep out of your sight.
Building Your Own CyberdeckTo enter the Matrix you'll need a specialized device called "cyberdeck". It is a portable personal computer that you get to build on your own. Mix and match hundreds of components and hunt down the best software to achieve peak performance.
Action-Packed Journeys Through the MatrixTo complete a matrix run you will need to go through a few different stages, first of which would be the transport layer. In the fast paced stream of data that is the digital highway you will need to evade clusters of code to get to the target server.
While on your way, you can visit proxy servers to buy yourself some time to burn through while hacking.
Fast-Paced HackingOnce you go through the transport layer you enter the target server and face dozens of nodes that may contain anything from top secret data and military grade software to the control panel of the whole city. Each node is guarded by a cyber-sentinels. Matrix combat is a unique real-time experience where you will need to multi-task between a number of different mini-games, all while managing your stats, dealing damage and analyzing enemy weak spots.
About Us"Last Time Studio" was created as a shared project of people passionate to bring our dream worlds to life. Our first shared creation, Quasis: The Last Eclipse is a game that combines both innovation and new takes on classic RPG mechanics.
We are an independent studio. That is a decision that was made on day one and it has been the cornerstone of our philosophy ever since. We think that compromising on our vision would defeat the purpose of the whole enterprise, so we seek funding through sources that wouldn't put restrictions on our creative process. We are currently running a crowdfunding campaign and any help would be much appreciated.
If our mission statement resonates with you, we would like to invite you to our Discord community, where you can help us shape the world of Quasis.
