Pajithko (pronounced pah-geeth-ko) is an action puzzle game inspired by Alexey Pajitnov's Tetris, and fine abstract artists like Mark Rothko and Claude Monet.

Hence, it derives its name the beginning of Pajitnov and end of end of Rothko.

Similar to Tetris, Pajithko is an action puzzle game that is easy to pick up and play with a high level meta strategy that is difficult to master. Where in Tetris you can build up your board to try to clear out four rows worth the most points, in this game you can build up territory (to fill out nearly the entire board) before deciding if you wish to clear out, all while risking game over. It's that constant tension of risk reward that keeps the game engaging.

With the combination of dozens of fine art inspired backgrounds (nearly 100) and classical music as its motif (and yes I am using words like "motif" to describe a video game) - Pajitkho offers a relaxing gameplay that pulls you in that intensifies as you progress through levels.

This game is a nod to one of my favorite games ever made, and the game I keep coming back to, without ripping off mechanics. It is meant to scratch that itch of a great puzzle game that is both familiar and unique at the same time.
