Like a Boss
This is the earliest prototype of a more ambitious game concept.
An action roguelike game, where you pick up items and fight enemies. Right now we've paid some attention to game feel and want to continue to iterate to get some feeback about the work so far.
Features
[Roguelike Map Generation][Pick up magic items][Delightful Pixel art animation][Win or Die]
This game seeks to challenge simplistic game morality such as "This character is wearing black spiky armor and therefore they must be evil and deserving of violence". Games do a lot with very simple imagery and of course in support of fun it's easy to rely on tropes like good vs evil.
In a world that is increasingly polarized, the concepts of good and evil perhaps need to be revisited. The central concept of the game is that you become the boss at the end of another player's dungeon, and you play in rounds against them.
This part of the game is as yet unrealized. At the moment the game is a fairly crude single player roguelike dungeon crawler. I'm releasing it in this form to get some initial feedback on my idea and the direction I am taking.
Because this is my first game, because it is free and because it is an indie game and I have released it in an unfinished form, please go easy on me in the comments, ratings and feedback.
