Esteem - A Saga of the Little Wolf
Esteem is a game that takes you to discover the saga of a little wolf called Laisa and her internal conflicts as she fights to save her village and her friends. How far would you go for your friends? What fears are you able to face to defend what is most important? Find out by living Laisa's experiences in Esteem!!!
The journey begins when your village is attacked by an entity known only as "The Void" and takes with it an important relic, the Essence crystal, whose known properties are to keep life in that region sustainable. Now seeing people losing their essence and becoming amorphous people due to a lack of motivation and feelings, Laisa will go in search of the stolen relic and discover that all the internal conflict she has had to date has actually prepared her for the most important saga in history. her life!!

The Game:
The game is based on the particularities of the daily life and personality of a cosplayer called Laisa Okami, who actively participated in the project, giving ideas and suggestions so that the game could be as faithful as possible and could thus represent not only her but also the all people who suffer from some type of problem such as anxiety, depression, among other illnesses. Her allies were also inspired by her real-life friends, Fê Michels, Pink and Bruna, the latter of whom helped us create the story's villain.
The game aims to show the importance of self-esteem in people's daily lives. Our message is to convey to the player that even if you have personal and internal problems to solve, with the right help we can overcome any challenge. The character's self-esteem system influences the game's mechanics, so if she has low self-esteem, the player will have difficulty fighting, walking, and even doing simple activities, as would happen in real life.
The game also highlights the importance of choosing your companies better. During the game you will realize that even if you think you are self-sufficient, the protagonist will need the help of friends to overcome some challenges (as the real Laisa would say: "no one is an island to live in isolation...")
Structure:
The game takes place across 5 maps that the protagonist will travel through to face her internal fears and find the strength she needs to deal with many issues in the help of her friends. Through more dynamic puzzles and challenges, our Little Wolf's limits will be tested on this great journey of rediscovery and unusual discoveries.
