Downward Spear

Play Downward Spear
Downward Spear is a single player isometric tactical action game with stealth and horror elements. The ice caps have melted causing flooding of most coastal land, and released ancient viruses that consume their hosts.

Play as one of the human "experiments" from a shadowy cabal attempting to retrieve the Elixir. Along the way are disparate raiders, wanderers, mysterious entities, and grotesque monsters. No fear, no fate.

Inspired by survival horror, hack n slash, and Action RPG games, the player takes control of a lone survivor (or small squad of survivors) who must overcome dwindling resources, human, monstrous, and ethereal enemy ambushes, time trials, and abstract challengesFeatures Hand crafted indoor and outdoor environments full of secrets, ambushes, weapons and items that reward a player's keen eye to 100% complete
A variety of factions and enemies. These range from the soulless undead, irradiated mutant pukers, crawlers, earth shaking hulks, religious zealot raiders, the mysterious grey trench coated agents, ethereal beings, and more
Elite enemies (with the red skull above their heads) are fearsome mini-boss versions of their contemporaries and often ambush when the player is least suspecting
Stealth-Action combat. Enemies can hear your foot steps and gun fire, so picking the correct stance (standing, crouching, prone) and weapon to get the most out of your limited resources while not drawing all enemies to your position is a must. One loud shotgun blast can attract a horde of enemies to your position so pay attention!
Tactical Mode. Allows players to pause time and queue decisions at their leisure
Time Trials and Advanced Difficulties. Once completing a mission, Time Trials for that mission unlocks which has you race against time to complete the mission with different lay outs. Win time back by eliminating / dodging enemies and collecting time bonuses / secrets as you go.
Unlockable characters. Each character has their own sets of Bonuses and Penalties as well as load outs that drastically change gameplay decisions. Also the environments each character goes to have changes based on the character entering for unique items, weapons, and challenges.
Persistent items between environments (such as Small Keys) that can be optionally used or saved for later to unlock more rare items / areas
Irradiated water, explosive barrels, car alarms, infected buildings, supply crates, ladders, rappels, zip lines, and other interactable items in the map to be used and overcome by the player
