Step into the shoes of a new employee at the “pest control” megacorp known as Invader-Be-Gone, Inc. in the arena-based, action experience, Bashtronaut.
Employee ED-870 is a Junior Eradicator, and he is attempting something that to his knowledge hasn’t been achieved in ten years at the company: get promoted. It’s not that the opportunities aren’t available for employees in the Eradicators Division, it’s just that every single one has died on the job or quit.
IBG’s green initiative, “Oh no, Ozone!” explicitly restricts any use of Rayguns, Phaser Phlashes, Blaster Rifles, Beam Bangs, and all other contaminant-generating weaponry. Eradicators uphold this vital company value by utilizing low-tech, blunted weaponry when dispatched into the field for a Removal.
A recent internal study found a 95% employee death rate in the Eradicators Division. It’s just a number though. And, it could be worse. The Proofers Division has a 98% rate. What these rates really represent is opportunity.Square up against increasingly hostile invading forces in unique combat encounters all while completing multiple client contracts. An employee Performance Appraisal follows the fulfillment of any client contract. Management wants all of its employees to succeed and will incentivize exceptional performance. Remember, Management cares, which is why words of inspiration from Management are sent directly to Eradicators when they consume company-approved performance-enhancing products in the field.
