Gifts of the Goddess
However, instead of a system of levels, in Anima Noctis you will be able to exchange the existence that you collect from your enemies for gifts of the goddess named QUOD. These gifts materialize in the form of cards that improve your basic stats and can be exchanged with other players if you wish.
With this system the essence of your character, your build and your playing style will be embodied in a deck of cards. You will be able to share your gifts with other players, creating a unique gaming experience.PSYNOPSIS
Ánima Noctis takes place during a fateful night in the castle of Heraldia. This castle guards the doors that interconnect the different planes of existence. The castle is also the place where QUOD, goddess of existence, lives along with her 12 eunuchs who are her guardians.
The 12 eunuchs were a gift from the god KAI, deity of time, to protect her beloved and the castle. They were created horrendous and sexless to make any kind of romance between the goddess and her personal guard impossible. Even so, KAI made the eunuchs swear that they would never maintain any kind of relationship with the goddess except the strictly necessary for her protection. Breaking this oath would mean exile from Heraldia and a sentence to wander the planes for all eternity.
The protagonist is Alan, eunuch number 5, exiled centuries ago for breaking his oath and falling in love with QUOD. After centuries of wandering through all the planes of existence surviving as a mercenary, he receives a letter from one of his brothers asking for his help. Apparently, mysterious forces have been attacking the castle guards, and even some of his brothers, which seems to indicate that an attack could be imminent.
The game begins with Alan just outside the west gate of the castle. Traces of blood and torn bodies announce that a battle was fought there not long ago. Worried about the fate of his brothers and his QUOD lover, he intends to enter the castle and find out what has happened.
