Ad Victoriam
Ad Victoriam is an indie game with a simple premise: "what would it have felt like to be on an ancient battlefield and observe the clash of armies unfolding?"
Using parallel computing, Ad Victoriam can simulate tens of thousands of soldiers all displayed in real time! Soldiers will maneuver together and fight in groups - at least that is, until the heat of battle causes them to break ranks and flee. We've put great emphasis on realism and immersion - soldiers neither mob as mindless zombies nor fight in perfect unison as permanent unit blocks.
The year is 59 BC. You, Julius Caesar, have become a Consul. It is time to seek fortune in conquest. New lands await, and perhaps one day Rome itself! To victory! Ad victoriam!
